Madhya Pradesh | China has encroached on 50-60 km | Arunachal Pradesh

NEW DELHI: “If a repeat of Doklam takes place, it will happen in Arunachal Pradesh,” said Tapir Gao, BJP MP from Arunachal East, while raising the issue of Chinese encroachment into Indian territory in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Urging the government to take note of such encroachment, Gao said, “China has encroached more than 50-60 km of our territory”

He even requested leaders of all political parties and media to voice protests against the Chinese move as the country has not only encroached upon Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh but also raised objections whenever India’s President, defence minister, home minister or Prime Minister visited the state.

Citing specific examples, the BJP member said China had raised objections by conducting an official press conference when defence minister Rajnath Singh visited Tawang area of the state and inaugurated a bridge there on November 14.

Referring to those Chinese objections, the BJP MP further said, “No one neither government nor any member of the House had raised the issue of China’s objection...I request the House and media to voice protest against this (China’s move)”.
