Today we are going to tell you through our article about the national park of Bihar Valmiki. Valmiki National Park is located in the outer boundary of the Shivalik mountain range in Champaran. This beautiful national park gets its name from Valmiki Nagar a small town located within the forest area. This national park is mainly the habitat of endangered creatures such as Cheetah. This sanctuary is completely covered with greenery.
The Valmiki National Park, spread over 900 yards, was established in the year 1990. The park is surrounded by the Royal Chitwan National Park of Nepal in the north and the Gandak River of the Himalayan Mountains in the west. Here you can find tiger, sloth bear, wolf, deer, sero, leopard, dragon, peephole, chital, sambar, nilgai, Hyenas, Indian civets, wild cats, hog deer, wild dogs, one-horned rhinoceros and Indian buffaloes occasionally migrate from Chitwan to Valmiki Nagar. In this garden, you can see chital, black deer, fishing cats, leopards, etc. But The main attraction of this wonderful park is the Bengal tiger.
The pristine forest and wilderness of VTR is an excellent example of a Himalayan Terai landscape. VTR comprises the Valmiki National Park and Valmiki Wildlife Sanctuary. The VTR forest area covers 899.38 square kilometers (347.25+ sq mi), which is 17.4% of the total geographical area of the district West Champaran(Bagaha). As of 2018, there were 40+ tigers as Reserved in the foreset.
The Valmiki National Park is the home to a wide variety of species of animals, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, butterflies, flowering and medicinal plants cozily habituating the Champa forests.
Right now, 1650 bird species are inhabiting the place- Nepal Khaleej pheasant, flycatcher, waders, ibises, storks, pitta, grey shrike, green willow warbler, tree pipit, white eye, green barbet, plovers, three-toed quail, snipes, pied hornbill, emerald dove etc. The dense forests of Valmiki National Park are also home to different kinds of moths and butterflies like a lime butterfly, great Mormon, glassy tiger, great egg fly, etc. In addition to that, there are seven different types of forest types and several mixed vegetation types.
Valmiki Nagar National Park, Tiger Reserve, and Wildlife Sanctuary is located at India in the Champaran district of Bihar, India on the bank of river Gandak. It is one of the best National parks in Bihar. The Ramanagar Raj and Bettiah Raj previously owned the extensive forest area of Valmiki Nagar until the early est1950s. Valmiki Nagar Tiger Reserve is one of the natural virgin recesses in the east of India, situated in west Champaran of Bihar Nearest railway station Valmiki Nagar and popular railway station Bagaha, Harinagar daily around approx 50 train halt.

The appropriate time to visit is from November to March… There is also heavy rainfall in summer.

Valmiki National Park has a facility of 10 eco-huts with double bed occupancy for the convenience of the tourists. In addition to this, there is one treehouse located in Kotraha for the pleasant attitude of the tourists and adventure lovers.
Kotecha, Madanpur, Naurangia Done, Govardhana, Manguraha Manpur also have the provision to Forest Rest House with two double bedrooms in each. For the facility of large groups of tourists, another wooden forest rest house is located in Ganauli with four double bedrooms.
